Jeep Rack

The jeep rack is almost complete. A coat of paint on the front & rear T bars & it's done. Mike finished it today & I installed it as Nathalie & he were setting up their wings to fly at Ft. Funston. Mike had 2 really nice flights. The second flight lasted 49 minutes. The first only about 10-15 because the VG was stuck. Only three pilots launched because the winds were out of the North.

The jeep racks are custom made. Two small brackets attached to the front bumper are all that show when the rack is not installed. The rear bracket is hidden by the spare tire. This rack is much better than anything else I could have had installed. It doesn't move, it fits perfect & is exactly what is needed to carry my wing.

It was obvious I am extremely happy with it. I wore a smile all day:)

Flying Ft. Funston

Earlier in the year I was out at Ft. Funston. The winds were too high for hang gliding but the guys with the remote control airplanes had a great time.

Happy New Year

I currently have a big smile on my face:) I'm listening to good music, having a beer & thinking about how great a year I just had, 2005 was a good year by all accounts. My work/life balance have been fairly equal. This year I once again took to the sky in various forms. Early in the year I spent time at Crazy Creek learning to fly gliders, soloing before I decided to find another form of flight. Skydiving was naturally one way to get back into the air but it was hang gliding that really seemed to catch my attention.

I took this picture several years ago during the bustling dot-com boom. It was a moment of change. The picture reminds me of strength & the need to continue improving in order to survive. The strengthening of the Bay Bridge instills a sense of safety for us living in the Bay Area. Here's looking forward to a strong & safe 2006!
